What is Ketamine?
Ketamine is a powerful, quick-acting intervention. Ketamine is rapidly emerging as a medical treatment of choice for depression, PTSD, migraines, OCD, trauma, and anxiety.
Approximately one-third of individuals with major depressive disorder (MDD) do not respond to available antidepressant medications and are considered to have treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Current therapies mainly target monoaminergic systems and have a delayed onset of effect.
Ketamine, unlike conventional psychiatric medications, provides a gateway to states of awareness that are relatively free from normative defensive inhibitions and rigidly patterned behaviors.

How Does Ketamine Work?
It’s not entirely clear how ketamine works. Because it exerts an antidepressant effect through a new mechanism, ketamine may be able to help people successfully manage depression when other treatments have not worked.
Ketamine clears away the negative thinking of patients with depression and allows them to see life in a more positive way, promoting new learning. “We can reverse years of negative thinking about oneself after one treatment.”
